Recitals
The recital is a presentation to the parents, demonstrating what the children have been working on this year. It will be held at the daycare center your child attends, unless an alternate location is listed. There is no limit on the number of guests you may bring. You may take pictures and videos. The performance will last 20-30 minutes.

- There are no extra fees for costumes or tickets. Costumes will be provided by Dance Time LLC and must be returned after the performance. For Pre-Ballet classes, each girl will need to wear her own pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Long hair should be worn in a bun. Costumes include a hair decoration. Boys enrolled in Pre-Ballet will need black socks and black ballet shoes, a white t-shirt and black pants.
- Students should arrive 15 minutes early. This allows time for using the restroom, changing into costume, and getting lined up.
- Keep in mind that all children react differently to an audience. Some children dance their best. Others become shy and won’t perform at all. You can never predict what will happen at a recital. Please don’t be disappointed if your child doesn’t perform. We assure you that all students have progressed this year and are doing a great job in class.
- To help your child have a good recital experience, please do the following:
-Arrive on time, so your child is not rushed.
-Remind him or her to pay attention to the teacher, not family and friends.
-Don’t try to get your child’s attention for a picture. Be as discreet as possible.
-Discourage your child from running to you during the performance. Assure them there will be plenty of time for hugs and kisses after the show.
- Participation in the recital is optional. If your child will not be able to perform in the recital, please let us know so we can plan appropriately.
- Dancers traditionally receive flowers after a performance. The instructor will present each dancer with a flower at the end of the recital. Some parents bring additional flowers for their little dancers.
