Class Information

Dance Time classes are provided on-site at childcare centers, schools and community centers. To see a list of classes and locations, use the enrollment tab to create an account. For most classes, the child must be enrolled as a student at the school or childcare center where the class is offered. Classes at Immaculate Heart of Mary are open enrollment.

Pre-Ballet

​This class for children ages 3-6 offers an introduction to dance for both girls and boys in a fun and nurturing environment. Basic ballet techniques are taught through engaging songs, games, and stories, making learning enjoyable and accessible. Students will gain familiarity with proper ballet terminology and movements, laying a strong foundation for formal training in the future. Participation in the pre-ballet class offers numerous benefits, including improved strength, flexibility, coordination, self-discipline, self-confidence, and listening skills, all while fostering a love for dance.

Hip Hop

This class for students in grades K-3 incorporates a variety of urban dance styles and freestyle movement, allowing students to cultivate their own unique sense of style. Our classes focus on rhythm, coordination, musicality, and choreography, featuring age-appropriate music and movements. Students are encouraged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced environment. In our Hip Hop classes, dancers develop focus, strength, and agility—all while having a blast. This class is perfect for high-energy kids eager for a fun and dynamic dance experience.

Ballet/ Tap

These classes are for children ages 5-6 and 7-9. Students learn beginner ballet steps, technique, terminology and proper body alignment at an age appropriate pace. Imagery and improvisation are used to enhance musicality and artistry. Students will also learn the fundamentals of tap including technique, vocabulary, rhythms and dance combinations.
